Future by Design is a documentary film, sharing the grand vision and life of Jacque Fresco, a modern day Da Vinci. Peer to Einstein and Buckminster Fuller, Jacque is a self-educated futurist who describes himself most commonly as a “generalist” or multi-disciplinarian — a scholar of several interrelated areas.
Jacque isn’t just a theoretician as well as a conceptualist. However, he’s likewise a designer as well as an engineer. He’s a prolific inventor, having spent his whole life (he’s now 89 years old) conceiving of and formulating innovations on several scales which entail using advanced technology.
Harvey Vengroff was the executive producer of this documentary, whereas William Gazecki was the director and producer.
Future by Design is an intellectually and visually engaging investigation of a single man’s vision of a future where war is obsolete; there’s absolutely no lack of any resource that is required, as well as our focus as a species is sustainability. But far from presenting a vision of Utopia, this documentary presents a “potential future” — with real and workable alternatives to our present paradigm of commercialism and militarism.
He also made a few other documentaries which are very close to the people hearts.
